Honestly, we don’t blame kids for craving salty and sugary snacks like caramel popcorn, potato chips, lollipops, and more! But we have to make sure we’re giving kids the best foods for their health – including their dental health! We are the experts in general dentistry for children. 5 Best Snacks for Your Kids’ Teeth

#1 Raisins

Raisins are nature’s candy! They contain oleanolic acid, which helps prevent cavities and gum disease. Cranberries (make sure they’re unsweetened) also help prevent plaque from sticking to your kids’ teeth. Find ways to incorporate raisins into your child’s diet. Instead of letting your kids snack on fruit snacks, give them a small box of delicious raisins instead!

#2 Celery

A crunchy stalk of celery is great for teeth! Munching on celery’s abrasive texture is like a natural massage/cleaning for your teeth. That doesn’t mean you can avoid brushing your teeth, but it does help get rid of plaque left behind. It even helps to clean between your teeth! #5 Unsalted Almonds

Almonds, much like kiwis, are very high in that sweet vitamin C we all need! They’ll help keep those teeth nice and strong. Additionally, all of the chewings create a cleaning mechanism in your mouth!
